Dr. Mokysha Benford, aka DrB!Real, has been an educator for the past eighteen years and has served at the elementary, middle school, high school, and collegiate levels.  She started out as a long-term substitute and worked her way up to becoming a building principal.  She is an educator, speaker, coach, and consultant who has traveled nationwide to build capacity in educators.  She is also the author of Any Given Monday: An Urban Educator’s Journey.  In this book she discusses lessons, relationships, leadership, and perspectives.  She calls for a paradigm shift and begs the question, “How can we do school differently?” DrB!Real is unrivaled in her passion for education and challenges the status quo through powerful communication.  She resides in Houston, TX, and is the proud mother of two sons, Thomas (19) and Shelton (14).
