Georgia-raised and Chicago-born, LaToia A. Jones is a Democrat, organizer, community leader, activist & strategist. Her purpose and drive have always been to be the most effective public servant possible. In most cases, this meant behind-the-scenes roles and learning from impactful servant leaders.

LaToia is currently the Assistant Director for the Human Rights and Community Relations Department at the American Federation of Teachers where she coordinates, trains and connects members on community, political, and civic engagement. She recently held previous roles directing special projects for both the CEO of the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, PA and for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation.

Dr. Renee Matthews has appeared on television shows such as, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Roland Martin’s NewsOne Now (TVOne) and WGN-TV’s People to People where she discussed different health topics. She started her media career with her own radio show on ReachMD, a medical broadcast network for health professionals. In addition, Dr. Renee has been a featured medical correspondent on SiriusXM’s Sway in the Morning and WVON (“The Voice of A Nation”).

Dr. Renee is a contributing writer for Ebony Magazine where she addresses topics such as asthma, health, and wellness. Dr. Renee is the contributing health blogger for BlackDoctor.org and Good Enough Mother; a leading community dedicated to moms providing advice and exposing the myths of motherhood. She is also a sought after speaker for various health organizations and schools. In addition to writing about health, Dr. Renee conducts speaking engagements on social media, branding and becoming an entrepreneur.
